Easy patterns to sew my own tote-bag?
Where can I find any easy patterns to sew my own tote-bag / and/or satchel? Any suggestions, patterns that you have that you can explain in your answer, anthing free?
For free!!!! Decide how large you want the tote bag to be. Let's say 12" X 20 " as an example. you would cut two pieces of the material at 13" X 21". That would give you a half inch on the sides for the seams You would then cut a piece of material to measure 54 " X 5". That again would be a half inch for the seam. The heigth of the bag is 20 " and multiply that by two add the 12 " for the bottom and one inch for the top seam would be 54 " X 5" You would then have to figure out the width of the handle say 2 " wide so go 3" and then the length you want and you have just saved yourself some money by not having to buy one , buying the pattern and you can choose the material you want to make it out of.
