When is it ok to carry a white purse and carry a straw purse? Easter or Spring??

traditionally white shoes are NOT ok to wear before Easter and after Labor day. meaning dress shoes.
I don't see why you couldnt carry a white or straw purse for spring or summer. Alot of fashion rules have changed depending on the area your in and the weather.
