is there a way i can reinforce the bottom of my tote bag for school?
i bought a tote online from steve madden for school and it seems that it is made of a sort of flimsy pebble leather material. my books fit fine but i am worried about taring because i can see the books' corners from underneath the material. has anyone gone to the tailors and gotten this done before?
For reinforcement of your bag you could use one of the small kitchen "flexible cutting mats" that can be rolled up so vegetables or whatever can be funneled into a pan or pot. This would also likely help your bag to stand upright on its own. You may also want to look at how well the handles are attached. That may also be a weak point in construction. I'm not familiar with the tote bag you speak of, but having a thin material doesn't always mean it's "weak". Some very thin materials are very strong and nearly impossible to tear.
