What would you do if you were in my situation?
Ok, so I might be a little bit of a red neck. I live out in the middle of no where, I work with horses. And when huntin season comes around, well, yeah... I'm hunting. I'm 17 and I've got a thick, thick, THICK southern accent. It's one of the things I hate.
And just recently, my parents told me that we're moving to Mesa, AZ... Do y'all have any type of accent there? Or am I going to stick out like a hog in a dress?
Will, I wouldn't mention any hogs in dresses if I were you. You know stereotypes and all. Seriously, just be yourself, I'm sure people will be able to find something far worse to dis on you about. Where I live, hell, I'm just glad if they speak American, I mean English. Listen, if they are worth your time than you accent wont matter. Think of your accent as a means of singling out the jerks.
