What is the time signature for Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones?

My boyfriend really loves this song, so I'm writing him the vocals to the song on staff paper since I know how to write music. I know so far that it starts with an eighth rest, quarter note, eighth note, quarter note, dotted quarter note, 7 quarter notes, and two tied eighth notes. I just can't figure out the time signature! I THINK it's on 5/4 but I've no clue, and I really need help.
